For the first time in its history the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour readies for Western Sprint Speedweek this coming Monday through Saturday, showcasing six straight nights of racing at six different venues.

Everything kicks off at Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Oregon this coming Monday July 15th. The popular quarter mile bullring launches the biggest week of racing yet for the SCCT 360s since debuting in 2017. Pit meeting on opening night will occur at 5pm, with cars on track at 5:45.

Tuesday July 16th then brings the Sprint Car Challenge Tour to Coos Bay Speedway, followed by the Douglas County Dirt Track in Roseburg, Oregon on Wednesday July 17th. Speedweek continues south after that, heading back into California for a night of racing at Marysville Raceway on Thursday July 18th.

A certain highlight of Speedweek takes place on Friday July 19th when SCCT invades Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico for the 11th annual Tyler Wolf Memorial.

When 20-year-old Tyler Wolf lost his life at Calistoga Speedway in 2012 it was one of the darkest days in recent memory for the California racing scene. The Redding native had captured the Silver Dollar Speedway track title one year prior and was well liked throughout the pit area.

The event in his memory continues to be one of the special shows each season at Silver Dollar Speedway.

SCCT Western Sprint Speedweek all comes to a climax at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds based Placerville Speedway on Saturday July 20th.

The overall SCCT Speedweek champion will take home $3,000 as part of a $6,000 total point fund. The runner up nets $2,000, while third place will claim $1,000.

With the $500 Shop Kyle Larson Bonus Award automatically added in during Speedweek, each main event will pay a minimum of $3,000-to-win. The 24-car feature also dishes out a minimum of $400-to-start every night.

The most recent Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour event saw El Cajon youngster Braden Chiaramonte pick up a thrilling victory in Antioch on June 15th. By doing so, the 17-year-old sits atop the SCCT standings going into Speedweek.

Hanford’s Michael Faccinto, Auburn’s Andy Forsberg, Aromas’ Justin Sanders and Livermore’s Travis Labat round out the top-five through the first six events of the season.

Additional drivers looking to run the full SCCT Speedweek include Placerville’s Shane Hopkins, Lincoln’s Tanner Carrick, Oakley’s Dylan Bloomfield, Oregon racer Tyler Thompson, Arizona driver Corbin Rueschenberg, Fresno’s Mariah Ede, Roseville’s Colby Copeland, Wilton’s Ashlyn Rodriguez, Yuba City’s Seth Standley, Windsor’s John Clarke and others.
