Northern California favorite Sean Becker will be gunning to take home the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards championship in 2017. The easy going and likable driver will pilot the always potent Menne Motorsports/ Mike’s Hard Lemonade No. 75 with the tour, a car that he’s experienced immense success behind the wheel of. The Roseville competitor last season captured his sixth Silver Dollar Speedway title, to go along with a trio of touring 360 championships and one traveling 410 title in his decorated career. Placerville’s Andy Gregg is geared up to go after the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards championship this season. The always colorful driver has tallied wins at numerous tracks throughout his career and is always fun to watch at the helm of his Guts Racing No. 16 mount. “I’m definitely excited with everything that has gone on in regards to the Sprint Car Challenge Tour,” Gregg commented. “There are some great people involved in every facet and that bodes well for all the racers and the fans. Placerville Speedway regulars Jimmy Trulli and CJ Humphreys are scheduled to run full-time with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards this season. Trulli brought home a fourth place finish in the final standings at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds bullring last year, while Humphreys capped the campaign with an eighth place result.

Petaluma Speedway champion Bradley Terrell will compete in all 13 Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards events this season. The Sebastopol driver claimed four wins with the Pit Stop USA Sprints en route to his third career title at the Sonoma-Marin County Fairgrounds track, where the Sprint Car Challenge Tour will compete on Saturday April 29 and Monday July 3. Fresno’s Dominic Scelzi will be an Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards regular this season. The 19-year-old will pilot the McColloch’s RV Repair & Storage/ A.R.T. Speed Equipment No. 17 with the tour. Last year he claimed opening night of the prestigious Fall Nationals in Chico and is set to split his time between California and the Midwest once again in 2017. In his career Scelzi has tallied a pair of wins at the Stockton Dirt Track, a venue the Sprint Car Challenge Tour visits on Saturday May 27, Sunday July 2, Saturday August 26 and Saturday November 4. Trophy Cup prelim winner Buddy Kofoid will be one of the full-time competitors this season with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards. The now 15-year-old became the youngest Winged 360 winner in Placerville Speedway and Ocean Speedway history last season, also earning Rookie of the Year honors at each track. Rohnert Park driver Brett Rollag returns to the sprint car mix on a more regular basis this season behind the wheel of the Donny Van Lare Racing/ CCI No. 1v machine. The new combination is set to run full-time with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards. Rollag is a former Rookie of the Year at Silver Dollar Speedway and has claimed multiple wins in his career at various tracks

By Elijah Jones- Kalib Henry, fresh off a stellar rookie season of competition in both 360 and 410 winged sprint car racing, is set to kick off what will be a busy and exciting season of action. Last season Kalib piloted the Mafara Motorsports #M21 machine to Rookie of the Year honors at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA. He also won multiple Heat Races and set Fast Time in Qualifying. This year though he is looking to compete for a Championship with a new team in a brand new series. Kalib has been given the opportunity to drive for Clayton Snow full time in the West Coast Race Parts LLC., Snow Racing Engines #7 machine. The team will compete in about 20-25 races this season, including running full time with the newly formed Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

Fair Oaks, Ca’s Jake Morgan & Orangevale’s Cody Spencer are two more drivers that have committed to run the full Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards season. Both competitors will tackle their first full campaign with a Winged 360 Sprint Car series.

The always entertaining Justin Sanders will be a full-time driver with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards in 2017. The Watsonville, Ca wheel-man claimed his first career touring 410 Sprint Car series win last October and also captured the Key Classic for the first time at his home track. Two seasons back Sanders raced to an impressive 20 overall wins in Northern California and hopes to scoop up the inaugural SCCT championship this year aboard the Joe VonSchriltz Racing 121 Sprinter. After winning the Placerville Speedway title last season Princeton’s Mason Moore will be gunning to take home the inaugural championship with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards. The 26-year-old drove the Friends & Family Racing/ Econo Lube & Tune X1 to three victories en route to his first title at the El Dorado County Fairgrounds bullring. He was also in contention for the Civil War title right down to the final event, before finishing runner up to Andy Forsberg. The versatile Ryan Bernal of Hollister will be a regular with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards. The 23-year-old driver of the Mike Phulps Motorsports/ Metal Works No. 56 has shown the ability to get it done with or without the wing, and will be a contender to challenge for the initial SCCT title. Last season he earned a victory in Winged 360 action at Petaluma Speedway & also captured opening night of the Vermeil Classic in Calistoga with the USAC/CRA Series. Hanford’s DJ Netto will be one of the championship favorites with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards. The 20-year-old pilot of the Tri-C Manufacturing 3c found instant success after climbing aboard the Clyde & Marion Lamar owned machine last August, ending the season as one of the most consistent drivers in California. Netto finished runner up at Chico’s Fall Nationals & ran third in the overall points at the prestigious Trophy Cup, before capping the campaign with a victory at the Copper Classic in Arizona. After a successful 2016 campaign Clarksburg’s Justyn Cox is set to contend for the inaugural championship with the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour presented by Abreu Vineyards. The 22-year-old drove the Berco Redwood/ Trex Decking No. 31c to a third place finish in points & Rookie of the Year honors last season with the King of the West Series.
